VIVAT! ST. PETERSBURG

VIVAT! ST. PETERSBURG:
A Celebration of 300 Years of Russian Art, Music and Culture
February 13-March 2, 2003

In an unprecedented collaboration, five major arts organizations in Baltimore and the Baltimore Area Convention & Visitors Association are co-producing a major, multi-disciplinary arts festival to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Russian city of St. Petersburg. The festival was conceived by the newly appointed music director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Yuri Temirkanov, who continues to serve as the chief conductor and music director of the legendary St. Petersburg Philharmonic. The five presenters will also collaborate with other Baltimore arts and cultural organizations to create a citywide celebration incorporating literary arts, film, food and other festive elements. Please call 1-888-Baltimore for more information.
