The
Mid-Atlantic-Russia Business Council will organize the Russian-American
program at the IV International Specialized Exhibition “Robotics”
in Moscow
Philadelphia, PA - The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business
Council is pleased to announce that it will be organizing
a Russian-American program at the IV International Specialized
Exhibition “Robotics” being held at the Moscow
VVC, Hall 70, from October 17-20, 2006. The Russian-American
program will be the largest and most prominent portion of
the international business section being planned at the
exhibition. The Robotics Exhibition serves as the leading
forum in Russia for experts in the field of robotics and
intelligent design systems and places a strong emphasis
on international cooperation in the areas of robotic systems
development and production. The goal of the exhibition is
to demonstrate and encourage the commercialization of innovative
ideas and prospective projects in the field of robotics,
intelligence and mechatronic systems.
This year’s Robotics Exhibition is being organized
by Russian Exhibition Company “Expodesign” in
cooperation with the Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business
Council and the Moscow Entrepreneur Association (MEA) and
is being supported by the Federal Agency for Science and
Innovation of the Russian Federation and Emercom of Russia.
Main topics at the exhibition will include:
• Robotics and mechatronics
• Industrial, built-in specialized computing systems
• Components, units and aggregates of robotics and
mechatronic systems
• Algorithms, technologies and software for artificial
intelligence
• Industrial technologies
• Nanotechnics and technologies
• Sensors
• Metrology, measuring devices, observing systems
• Optical recognition systems for test and image processing
• Power supply systems and sources
• Intelligent consumer goods, robotic toys, computer
games
• Data transmission systems
There will also be a business program at the exhibition
that will focus on issues in robotics development, intellectual
property protection, the training of engineering personnel,
and the financing of research activities.
Last year’s Robotics Exhibition was a great success,
attracting leading players in the field, including scientific
research institutes, industrial companies, universities
and other educational institutions. Major companies such
as Sony, Mitsubishi and Kuka participated in the exposition
and presented their work. Smaller companies were given a
special section in which to display their innovations. Another
special section was devoted to school and student inventions.
