Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition

The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council (MARBC) is pleased to announce that it will be organizing an American participation in the 15th Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition on March 19-22nd, 2008. This is one of the events which will be organized by MARBC in the framework of the Month of the U.S. Mid-Atlantic Region in Russia.

The Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition is considered to be largest travel and tourism exhibitions in Russia and the third largest in the world. Over the last 14 years, the exhibition has been the key event of spring and summer tourist seasons for its participants. This event is a perfect opportunity for international tourism companies to know more about recent trends and developments in the Russian tourism industry, as well as to present a company and establish new business relationships with Russian counterparts. In 2007 more than 2700 companies from 110 countries and regions participated in the exhibition. The President of the Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council, Val Kogan, along with Ex-British Ambassador, Roderick Line, participated at the welcoming ceremony of the exhibition in 2007 and gave an opening speech. MARBC coordinated participation of the American delegation at the exhibition as well.

Next year, in 2008, MARBC is planning to bring a greater number of American companies, including companies from the Mid-Atlantic Region. The Council is working on attracting leading U.S. tourism and travel companies and organizations to participate in the exhibition. This event will be organized as part of MARBC’s efforts to develop regional cooperation between vast regions in Russia and the Mid-Atlantic States in travel & tourism industries.
