Days of Russian-American
Venture Industry Cooperation
Philadelphia, PA – The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council (MARBC)
is pleased to announce the Days of Russian-American Venture
Industry Cooperation, which will take place in Philadelphia and
the Mid-Atlantic region in October 2008. A Russian delegation of
government and industry executives will participate in a number
of venture capital business events and learn about the U.S.
venture capital industry. This event is an important part of the
MARBC Program for Russian-American cooperation and development
of the venture capital industry and technology parks.
As the most
important part of the Days of Russian-American Venture Industry
Cooperation, MARBC is organizing the Russian participation in
the Mid-Atlantic Capital Conference (MAC). Highlighting the
wide variety of investment opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic
region, MAC is one of the oldest venture capital events in the
United States and continues to truly be a catalyst for companies
and capital. Participants at MAC share their knowledge of the
seed and venture capital industry, as well as discuss the best
strategies and tools for building and managing strategic
investment programs and institutions. MAC showcases the best
young and developing companies and provides these companies with
incomparable exposure to the region's top venture capitalists
and private equity investors. MAC features a technology track,
presenting companies in various technology areas, such as IT,
nanotechnology, life sciences, biotechnology and
telecommunications. The MAC continues
to build upon the momentum created at last year’s success by
adding eagerly anticipated new
content sections to this year’s program, including Angel to
Venture, Institutional Investing, Technology Transfer, Business
Development and Strategic Growth.
As in
previous years, MARBC is
continuing its commitment towards
being a Supporting Organization of MAC, and will bring a
delegation from the Russian
venture industry and emerging Russian companies to participate
and display Russian information at MAC.
MARBC will
be organizing additional events in Philadelphia and throughout
the Mid-Atlantic region, as part of the Days of Russian-American
Venture Industry Cooperation. There will be a round table
discussion with representatives from Russian technology
companies and members of the delegation will tour the Science
Center, the oldest urban technology park in the United States.
The MARBC will also organize the Russian participation at the
Mid-Atlantic Bio Conference on October 22-24, 2008, in
Chantilly, VA.
