Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation
Philadelphia, PA – The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council (MARBC) is pleased to announce the Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation, which will take place in Philadelphia and the Mid-Atlantic region on November 2-6, 2009. A Russian delegation of government and industry executives will participate in a number of venture capital business events and learn about the U.S. venture capital industry. This event is an important part of the MARBC Program for Russian-American cooperation and development of the venture capital industry and technology parks.
As the most important part of the Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation, MARBC is organizing the Russian participation in the Mid-Atlantic Capital Conference (MAC) on November 3-4, 2009. Highlighting the wide variety of investment opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic region, MAC is one of the oldest venture capital events in the United States and continues to truly be a catalyst for companies and capital. Participants at MAC share their knowledge of the seed and venture capital industry, as well as discuss the best strategies and tools for building and managing strategic investment programs and institutions. MAC showcases the best young and developing companies and provides these companies with incomparable exposure to the region's top venture capitalists and private equity investors. MAC features a technology track, presenting companies in various technology areas, such as IT, nanotechnology, life sciences, biotechnology and telecommunications. The MAC continues to build upon the momentum created at last year’s success by adding eagerly anticipated new content sections to this year’s program, including Angel to Venture, Institutional Investing, Technology Transfer, Business Development and Strategic Growth.
As in previous years, MARBC is continuing its commitment towards being a Supporting Organization of MAC, and will bring a delegation from the Russian venture industry and emerging Russian companies to participate and display Russian information at MAC.
MARBC will be organizing additional events in Philadelphia and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, as part of the Days of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation. There will be a round table discussion with representatives from Russian technology companies and members of the delegation will tour the Science Center, the oldest urban technology park in the United States.
The Day’s of Russian-American Venture Industry Cooperation will conclude with the Russian delegation’s participation in the Mid-Atlantic BIO Conference. The Mid-Atlantic BIO conference, November 4-6, will offer unique opportunities to American companies looking for international partners due to its global focus. In addition to panels and workshops dedicated to topics of international bioscience interest, there will also be an International Pavilion specifically for delegations to exhibit and an International Partnering Program to assist regional businesses connect with international companies. During Mid-Atlantic BIO, the MARBC will organize a Russian exhibition, and presentations about the latest biotechnology developments in Russia. These events will offer excellent opportunities for venture capitalists to network with some of the most innovative companies in bioscience industry.
