There are many reasons to believe that the emerging Russian market will prove to be extremely lucrative for many Pennsylvania companies. After decades of forced economic isolation, Russia today is experiencing rapidly growing demand for goods and services matched by its increasing consumer buying power. According to the US Global Trade Outlook 1995 - 2000, Russia is one of the 10 fastest-growing world markets for US manufacturing goods. The high educational level of the population, large number of qualified professionals, and the advanced level of scientific research in Russia will allow Pennsylvania's high technology companies to not only find a big market for their products, but also find partners with world class research capabilities. Considering the wealth of Russian scientific and technological experience, cooperation in this field promises to be especially beneficial for Pennsylvania companies.

The Fair promises to become one of the most significant events for the Pennsylvania international business community this year.
