Letter of Invitation
December 1996
Dear Pennsylvania Business Executive:
As you are probably aware, the number of Pennsylvania business leaders who are enthusiastic about possibilities for American industry in emerging markets is growing rapidly. The Pennsylvania-Russia Business Council (PRBC) wishes to take this opportunity to urge you to explore the promise and potential offered by a changing Russia. We would like to introduce you to our organization and to the many exciting events we are sponsoring in the coming year. In addition, we would like to encourage your further involvement in America-Russia business affairs by enlisting you as a PRBC member.
Founded in 1995, the Pennsylvania-Russia Business Council cultivates economic and cultural partnerships between Pennsylvania and Russia and assists Pennsylvania companies in exploring and entering the expanding Russian market. Providing networking opportunities and a clearinghouse for business information in Russia, the PRBC is "home base" for those who want to conduct business in Russia and need the knowledge of legal, financial, and other business protocols to be successful.
Russia is already one of the 10 fastest-growing world markets for American goods. The PRBC believes Pennsylvania companies can prosper in Russia because the industries represented in this state correlate well with the diverse demands of the Russian market. With the proper business information and support, Pennsylvania can achieve one of the biggest Russian presence in the United States.
The PRBC has already sponsored several well-attended events, including a full-day "Developing Business Opportunities in Russia and the Newly Independent States" seminars in Chester, Montgomery, Lehigh Valley, and Lancaster counties and the First Pennsylvania-Russia Business Opportunity Fair at the Valley Forge Convention Center. We hope you will join us at our upcoming major events--the Second Pennsylvania-Russia Business Opportunity Fair in June 1997, and the Joint Russia-America Technology Exchange & Development Forum in November 1997. We also invite you to take part in the first Pennsylvania Trade Mission to Moscow in September 1997, and to meet with visiting Russian delegates in January, April, June, October and November 1997.
If you or members of your organization would like more details about the PRBC or its activities, please do not hesitate to contact me at 610-896-9954.
Sincerely yours,
Val Kogan
President
