MARBC Russian Biotechnology Delegation
at the Mid-Atlantic BIO Conference

 

                Dulles, VA - The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council (MARBC) is pleased to organize the participation of a Russian delegation in the Mid-Atlantic BIO conference, which will take place this year in Dulles, VA from October 22-24, 2008.  The Mid-Atlantic BIO conference is the region’s only event to combine an industry convention and investor conference under one roof.  As such, it provides one of the premier opportunities to meet and network with leaders in all aspects of the biotechnology industry, from scientists and researchers to legislators and financiers.

            The Mid-Atlantic BIO provides a premier showcase for the region’s industries, strengths and resources.  It offers companies the opportunity to meet with exhibiting companies, attend twelve panel discussions on hot topics in the life science industry and attend plenary sessions which will include noted speakers such as Nobel Laureate Kary Mullis, Ph.D. and the Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Andrew C. von Eschenbach, M.D.  It is the only regional opportunity for policy makers, researchers, venture capitalists and executives to network and learn about advances in the biotechnology industry from all over the world.

This year’s Mid-Atlantic BIO conference will offer unique opportunities to American companies looking for international partners due to its global focus.  In addition to panels and workshops dedicated to topics of international bioscience interest, there will also be an International Pavilion specifically for delegations to exhibit and an International Partnering Program to assist regional businesses connect with international companies.  During Mid-Atlantic BIO, the MARBC will organize a Russian exhibition, and presentations about the latest biotechnology developments in Russia.  These events will offer excellent opportunities for Mid-Atlantic region biotechnology companies looking to explore opportunities with Russian business partners.

The MARBC-organized program will include additional events in the Mid-Atlantic region with Russian executives participating in a roundtable discussion and meeting in the International Incubator at the Science Center in Philadelphia among other activities.
