About Mid-Atlantic - Eurasia Business Council: Since 1994, MAEBC has worked to foster business relations between Eurasia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region, while cultivating mutual appreciation of political, economic, cultural, and educational interests. The goal of MAEBC is to enable companies based in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region to enhance their positions in Eurasia and the CIS and to attract Eurasian businesses to the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region. About MAEBC Internship Program: MAEBC Internship program is a unique opportunity to gain valuable teamwork and leadership experience and demonstrate the ability to meet pre-defined project goals in the real-world business environment. The internship will give you access to the major local trade shows and conferences, provide you with a wealth of networking opportunities with American and Eurasian businessmen and officials, introduce you to the world of volunteer involvement in the non-profit sector, and make you a part of the MAEBC alumni network. Internship Position: Web Developer and Content Coordinator

Background: MAEBC website has been developed many years ago using basic HTML. We are planning to enhance the communication between the Council and its clientèle by making the interface more powerful and flexible. Additionally, there are opportunities to improve the website's internal ease of use. WordPress Publishing platform is a simple solution for achieving these goals.
Objectives: Implement WordPress Publishing Platform to be used for the the main MAEBC website, create internal instructions on using the new site
Help develop overall site design, restructure the site to take advantages of the new platform
Transfer existing site content to the new format, establish and document universal format for publishing new content
Schedule and run Zoom meetings and webinars
Candidacy requirements: Basic knowledge of web design, HTML, and graphic design software.
Ability to pay attention to detail, proofreading skills are desirable.
Ability to make a time commitment of about 4-8 hours per week.
