WHARTON EUROPEAN CONFERENCE

The Wharton European Conference "Europe: A Common Vision" is featuring speakers from several Eastern European Countries, as part of the Expanding the EU panel moderated by Prof. Gerald McDermott - the former Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic. Panelists will include:

  • Leslie Bergman, Partner and Manager of Accenture's Eastern European operations
  • Wieslaw Wodyk, Head of Polish Economic office in the US
  • Nijole Îambaite, Minister Counselor - Lithuanian economic representative to the US
  • József Tóth, Deputy Chief of Hungarian mission to the US (#2 person in the Hungarian embassy)
  • Val Kogan, President of the Pennsylvania-Russia Business Council

The panel is part of the Wharton European Conference, which will take place November 30, 2001 from 8am - 5pm at the International House (3701 Chestnut St). The Expanding the EU panel will itself take place from 10:15-11:45. Lunch will be provided to conference participants (you can designate which panelist you would like to sit at the table with; also there will be a wine and cheese event at the Wanamaker in the evening following the conference.
