C3 EXPO LAUNCHED AS MAJOR NEW CORPORATE AND CHANNEL COMPUTING EVENT |
|
Bringing corporate and channel buyers together with the computer industry's premier manufacturers and channel partners, in the nation's most dynamic business marketplace for the purchasing of technology, is the mission of a new major industry event, C3 EXPO.
C3 EXPO (the abbreviated name for Corporate and Channel Computing Expo) will take place June 28-30, 2005 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, and will be produced and managed by the Ianuzzi family, well-known for its trade show successes under its corporate name of H.A. Bruno, and later Bruno Blenheim and Blenheim Group USA. The Ianuzzi family originated and developed PC EXPO and other high-tech trade shows.
Responding to a vacuum in the marketplace created by the recent cancellation of several technology events throughout the United States, the Bruno firm acquired certain assets of the former CeBIT America show, produced by Deutsche Messe AG. Planning of the event will include cross-marketing opportunities with the leading associations, trade and business media and thought leaders of the technology world.
The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council announces the Russian - American program, which includes a conference and exhibition, in conjunction with C3 EXPO. This comprehensive Russian Conference program, which will provide opportunities for further business and technology cooperation between the U.S. and Russian companies, includes a seminar, panel discussions. The Russian Pavilion, organized by the MARBC, has an extensive display in the Exhibit Hall featuring the vast array of Russian science and technology capabilities.
Since the establishment of CeBIT America, the Russian Conference, organized by the Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council, became an important component of the international program of the event. This year the Russian conference includes two days of panels and presentations covering the most promising and pressing issues of the Russian-American business and technology cooperation and will be held in the MARBC Theater. The "Russian Science & Technology Opportunities for U.S. Business" seminar is a vital part of the Russian Conference. The seminar highlights various institutes, scientists and projects in Russia, and includes presentations by U.S. corporations with significant technology transfer collaboration experience in Russia. The presenters include a diverse group of representatives ranging from major corporations to small businesses, and from research universities to technology associations.

Mayor of the City of Philadelphia Proclaimation
The inaugural Russian-American Innovation Technology Week of 2003 was remarkable success. The event brought over 200 technology companies from Russia and the Newly Independent States to Philadelphia and made evident the potential for tremendous growth of this undertaking. We welcome the decision of the Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council to expand this event to a semi-annual basis beginning in 2005. As a result, it will now include even greater numbers of seminars, panel discussions, round-table meetings, trade shows, conferences, and networking events designed to establish partnerships and cooperation between Russian and American business and technology communities.
The city of Philadelphia is delighted to host delegations representing the leading Russian technology companies as they participate in the various technology events of the Russian-American Innovation Technology Week, including major conferences and exhibitions throughout the region.
We congratulate the Mid-Atlantic - Russian Business Council as it celebrates its tenth anniversary with this significant achievement, and hope that such initiatives will ultimately help to establish the Mid-Atlantic Region as a major partner for Russian technology companies and a premier center of Russian-American technology cooperation.
THEREFORE...

Announcing: The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council Seminar Series: Russian Science & Technology Opportunities for U.S. Business
June - December 2005, New York, NY; Wilmington, DE; Princeton, NJ; Pittsburgh, PA; King of Prussia, PA; Baltimore, MD
PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Mid-Atlantic - Russia Business Council announces the continuation of the seminar series on "Russian Science & Technology Opportunities for U.S. Business." Due to the success of the first fourteen seminars in the Mid-Atlantic region in Spring 2001 - Summer 2004, six new seminars will be organized during 2005 that will extend throughout the Eastern United States. They will take place in June - December 2005 in New York, NY; Wilmington, DE; Princeton, NJ; Pittsburgh, PA; King of Prussia, PA; and Baltimore, MD. Each seminar highlights various institutes, scientists and projects in Russia.
Included in these sessions will be presentations by U.S. corporations with significant technology transfer collaboration experience in Russia. These presenters include a diverse group of representatives ranging from major corporations to small businesses, and from research universities to technology associations and foundations such as U.S. Industry Coalition (USIC), U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) and the U.S. Department of State's Science Centers Partners Program. USIC members participate in the Department of Energy's Initiatives for Proliferation Prevention, a program partnering weapons scientists in the former Soviet Union with U.S. industry to transform weapons technologies into viable products for the global market. The State Department's Partners Program, through Science Centers in Moscow and Kiev, offers U.S. businesses a protective infrastructure for funding basic and applied research projects, technology development, and technology demonstration research in the former Soviet Union.
These seminars are an excellent way to learn more about the opportunities for business cooperation between American and Russian companies. For U.S. businesses, organizations such as the USIC and CRDF offer a wealth of experience with research projects and investment opportunities in the former Soviet Union, and the State Department's Partners Program reduces the costs and political risks of funding research in the Newly Independent States. Companies can gain unique access to the former Soviet weapons R&D community and utilize their expertise to work on corporate projects in such fields as biotechnology, instrumentation, communications, air, space and surface transportation, materials, the environment and more.
