Curt Weldon has served as Representative of the Seventh Congressional District of Pennsylvania since 1987 During this time he has been one of the key leaders in the development of closer relations between the U.S. and Russia. He is the founder of the Duma-Congress Study Group, a bi- lateral parliamentary exchange, and has played a role in the improvement of Russia's energy supply, environmental policy, and weapons disarmament. Congressman Weldon is also the author of "A New Time, A New Beginning," (PDF file) - a policy outline designed to create lasting and mutually beneficial ties between the two nations.
